One of the worst movies I’ve ever watched was Dude, Where’s My Car? And to make the analogy to the NFL, Raiders fans are asking that same question….Where has Derek Carr been this season?
It hasn’t been pretty. Even with a clean pocket, Carr has been pedestrian at best. According to Pro Football Focus, Carr averaged just four yards per attempt against the Colts two weeks ago.
The Raiders enter Week 12 with a record of 3-and-7, and unless things change drastically, Las Vegas is definitely missing the playoffs. Two of their three wins this season came against the 3-and-7 Denver Broncos.
More losses by the Raiders means they’ll be in the lottery come draft night, and a new franchise signal-caller like CJ Stroud or Bryce Young might be the answer for GM Dave Ziegler.
Is trading Carr the answer? Well, the stats would back that up. Carr is ranked just 23rd among the 32 quarterbacks according to PFF. Oh, and Carr hasn’t thrown three touchdowns in a game since the 2020 season.
And if the Colts can get a second and third-round pick for trading away Carson Wentz, a second rounder for Carr is definitely possible for the Raiders.
